To control a vehicle for a user to easily and safely step on/down the vehicle.
A vehicle control unit for controlling a vehicle and the vehicle with the control unit are provided. The vehicle has a body part for the user to step on, a power generating part for generating the power for moving the body part, and first and second sensors for outputting load values according to the load applied to the body part. The control unit includes an arithmetic operation part for computing a bias of the load based on the first load value detected by the first sensor and the second load value detected by the second sensor and outputting a command value corresponding to the bias, and a driving part for controlling the power generating part based on the command value. The bias of the load is determined based on the distribution of the first and second load values regardless of the weight of the user. Since the command value corresponding to the bias is outputted, the speed of the vehicle can be securely controlled regardless of the weight of the user, and therefore, the user can easily and safely step on/down the vehicle.
