To reduce effect of vibration applied during long-time exposure.
When vibration is applied in photographing an image, a compensation value for reducing the effect of the vibration is calculated. When an exposure time in the photographing is not larger than a first threshold, the image is determined to be photographed with short-time exposure, and processing in the short-time exposure is executed. When the exposure time in the photographing is not smaller than the first threshold, the image is determined to be photographed with long-time exposure, and processing in the long-time exposure is executed. In the long-time exposure, the calculated compensation value is multiplied by a coefficient corresponding to the exposure time, and compensation processing using the compensation value multiplied by the coefficient is executed. This invention can be applied to a video camera.
