Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adsorptively separating carbon dioxide from a gaseous mixture containing the carbon dioxide by using low-silica X type zeolite of high purity which has the excellent performance to adsorptively separate that race carbon dioxide and is made binderless. SOLUTION: The absorptive separation method for the carbon dioxide is characterized in that when a zeolite adsorbent and the gaseous mixture composed of >=2 kinds of components containing the carbon dioxide and gases having the polarity lower than the polarity of the carbon dioxide are brought into contact with each other, the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide ranges from 0.1 to 59 mmHg and the zeolite adsorbent is a low-silica X type zeolite which is 1.9 to 2.0 in SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio and in which the content of the low-silica X type zeolite is >=95% and more preferably the absorbent is subjected to ion exchange at >=90% with lithium and/or sodium.
