To provide an image processing apparatus and an enlargement/consecutive photographing function control method in which printing in a designated sheet size larger than a maximum sheet size can be performed by receiving from an external device a printing request with a sheet size larger than the maximum sheet size as the designated sheet size.

The image processing apparatus 1 connected with an external device 2 and performing print on the basis of a printing request received from the external device 2, includs: a printing capability information notification means for notifying the external device 2 about printing capability information with a sheet size larger than a maximum sheet size as a printing enabled sheet size when the printing capability information is requested from the external device 2; and a printing control means in which, when the printing request with the sheet size larger than the maximum sheet size as a designated sheet size is received from the external device 2, a sheet size larger than the maximum sheet size is formed from a plurality of sheets combining sheet sizes in which printing can be performed by one sheet, and drawing is performed on a plurality of sheets in a divided manner and printing in the designated sheet size is performed.
