To provide an image transmission system and an image transmission apparatus capable of controlling the amount of information of transmitting image with a simple method in accordance with a magnitude of the bandwidth of a network.
An image plotting part 11 writes an image into an image storage part 131 and, at the same time, inputs the image to a plotting range input part 121, and a plotting range restriction part 122 which receives a plotting area having a changed image as a rectangular range compares the received rectangular range with an assembly of rectangular ranges read from a plotting range assembly storage part 132, reconstitutes the assembly of new rectangular ranges and writes the reconstituted assembly into a plotting range assembly storage part 132. When receiving such a notification that the transmission of an image is possible, a plotting range assembly output part 123 reads an assembly of the rectangular ranges from the plotting range assembly storage part 132 and an image compression part 124 reads an image in the rectangular range from the image storage part 131 and compresses the image, writes the compressed image to an image compression data storage part 133 and demands an image transmission part 14 to transmit the compressed image data.
