Abstract:

To provide a tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibration reed or a tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibrator, which is hard to break during manufacture of the tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibration reed and has made the tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibrator shock-resistant or vibration-resistant.

The tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibration reed (20) has a base (29) of a first thickness (D2) and a first and a second vibration arms (21) of a second thickness (D1) which is thinner than the first thickness and formed by projecting from one end of the base. Also a piezoelectric vibrator (50) using the tuning-fork-type piezoelectric vibration reed is provided.
