Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document analyzing device capable of presenting a tendency of a category, into which an important document of a user falls, to the user.SOLUTION: An important document specifying section 312 specifies a first document in response to an operation of a user. A candidate important document selecting section 321 identifies a second document which falls into the same category as the first document. The candidate important document selecting section 321 calculates a degree of similarity between the first and the second documents according to the category into which the first and the second documents fall and determines the second document as the candidate important document based on the calculated degree of similarity. A candidate important category selecting section 322 calculates the degree of importance of the category based on the degree of similarity between the second document which falls into the category and is determined as the candidate important document and the first document, and determines the category as the candidate important category based on the calculated degree of importance. A category display operation section 311 displays the determined category as the candidate important category.
