Abstract:
System comprises a number of labels (6-8) for machine parts (1, 2, 4) as well as a reader (19) for reading the labels. The labels are detachably mounted on the machine parts and can be removed to enable the reader to read them. An Independent claim is made for a method for identification of machines or machine parts in which the labels relating to machine parts are removed from them, read and then replaced.
