Abstract:
The present invention provides a sewing machine needle capable of preventing needle thread (T) untwisting during sewing. The sewing machine needle (T) includes a needle bar (1), wherein, the needle bar (1) has a needlepoint (5), a needle hole (3) formed nearby the needlepoint (5) and a long groove (2), the needlepoint (5) is formed at the far-end of the needle bar in order to meet with the needleaxis central line, the long groove (2) is located at the front side of the needle bar (1), and extending from the upside of the needle bar (1) to the needle hole (3). Part of the needle hole (3) close to the front connected to the long groove (2)of the needle hole (3) slopes an angle (alpha) from the needle axis central line (Z-Z) which is roughly equal to the twist direction (m) tilt angle (theta) of the needle thread (T), to provide for a sloping portion (4), so that the main portion of a long groove(2) extending parallel to the needle axis central line (Z-Z) is in mutual connection to the needle hole (3) through a tilt part (4).
