To provide a simply configured low-cost flaw detection means for an inner roller used in a planetary roller power transmitter.
The planetary roller power transmitter includes: a sun roller 15a integral with an input shaft 15; the elastic ring inner roller 13 with its rotative direction fixed by a casing 11, having a U-shaped cross-section with its periphery opened, and lessening its inner diameter by being inside deformed by giving pressing force to a ring side surface 13b; and a plurality of planetary rollers 18 rotatably supported by a carrier pin 14 fixed on a carrier 16a integrated with an output shaft 16, with the respective rollers circumscribed or inscribed in a preloaded state. With a coil 31 formed by winding a conductor in outward grooves of the inner roller 13 along the grooves, this power transmitter includes a means for measuring impedance by passing an AC current through the coil 31 and detecting flaws and faults such as cracks and fractures in the inner roller 13 based on a change in the impedance.
