Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and image processing method in which a processing speed can be accelerated when performing image processing by dividing image data into a plurality of processing units.SOLUTION: A belt of data for a plurality of lines is defined as a processing unit to repeat a plurality of stages of data processing which are read of Bayer data from a memory 3 through a DMAR 4, generation of YUV data through a Bayer interpolation block 5, increase/decrease in the number of pixels through a magnification block 6 and write (expansion) to the memory 3 through a DMAW 7. During that, a control section 2 generates next belt information (a) to be used for processing the next belt by the blocks 4-7 in timing to activate the DMAW 7 and outputs them to the blocks 4-7, and each time the blocks 4-7 are activated, the next belt information (a) being outputted is written into a register 8 of the blocks 4-7. Each time the blocks 4-7 are activated, data processing is performed in accordance with the updated next belt information (a). The plurality of stages of data processing with a belt as a processing unit can be iteratively performed without intermission.
