To provide a solar cell capable of improving efficiency of energy conversion.
The solar cell 21 includes a metal electrode 2; a p-type semiconductor substrate 3 disposed on the upper surface of the metal electrode 2, and a plurality of carbon nanotubes 4 vertically juxtaposed on the upper surface of the semiconductor substrate 3. Transparent electrodes 5, disposed on sides of the respective carbon nanotubes 4 are located opposite to the metal electrode 2, and respective carbon nanotubes 4 formed as a metal are doped with phosphorus (P) for respective carbon nanotubes 4, and are further varied in diameter of the carbon nanotubes 4, stepwise starting from one side to the other side, as well as, are imparted with a magnetic force on the carbon nanotubes 4 by a magnet body 22.
