The apparatus for monitoring the recorded video of a television camera further has: a radio adapter for exchanging data with an external television camera; and a connection detecting means 107 for detecting connection of the radio adapter. When the connection detecting means detects the connection of the radio adapter, a camera display control means 104 displays identification information of the recorded video monitoring apparatus of the external television camera. Furthermore, the display control means 104 combines data, which are received from the recorded video monitoring apparatus of the external television camera by the radio adapter, with a video signal to display the combined result on a camera display means.
