The fuel cell system includes a warming-up treatment-executing part for carrying out warming-up treatment if a temperature detected by a temperature sensor T at starting of a fuel cell 2 is lower than the temperature capable of starting without executing warming-up treatment, an output allowing part for allowing an output from the fuel cell 2 when the fuel cell 2 is shifted into a power generation continuable state capable of continuing power generation while the warming-up treatment is carried out by the warming-up treatment executing part, and a display control part for displaying an output allowance state display for indicating a state that the output is allowed from the fuel cell 2 onto a display device 8 as the output allowance state display is gradually changed in accordance with power capable of power generation of the fuel cell 2 in case the output from the fuel cell 2 is allowed by the output allowing part.
