To provide a structure for suppressing the increase of the temperature of two optical fibers by leakage light leaking out from the fusion part of the optical fibers.
A fiber connection part 8 includes a fusion part 11C, a protective part 21, and a leakage light removal part 22. By fusing the emission end face of a non-doped optical fiber 11A and the incidence end face of a rare earth doped optical fiber 11B, the fusion part 11C is formed. In order to fuse the emission end face of the non-doped optical fiber 11A and the incidence end face of the rare earth doped optical fiber 11B, the coating of the emission end of the non-doped optical fiber 11A and the coating of the incidence end of the rare earth doped optical fiber 11B are removed. The fusion part 11C is covered with the protective part 21. The leakage light removal part 22 is provided so as to cover a part near the fusion part 11C of the coating 44B of the rare earth doped optical fiber 11B. The leakage light removal part 22 has a refractive index equal to or higher than the refractive index of the coating 44B.
