Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage to a substrate for integrated type thin-film solar cells caused by laser processing thereof.SOLUTION: In some embodiment of the present invention, a thin-film solar cell 100 is provided which includes, on one surface of a substrate 5, a ground layer 11 containing a material which exhibits a lower thermal decomposition temperature or evaporation start temperature than the thermal decomposition temperature of the substrate. Disposed above the ground layer 11 as conductive layers for connection or electrode purposes are connection wiring layers 7 and 10. To form an integrated type solar cell, a separation part 4 which has had the connection wiring layers 7 and 10 removed by laser processing is formed. If the ground layer 11 which has such properties is used, since the connection wiring layers 7 and 10 are removed by a weaker laser beam than otherwise, it is possible to reduce damage by a laser beam to the substrate 5 which is exposed to the separation part 4.
