To provide a rotary electric machine capable of effectively cooling both a permanent magnet installed to a rotor core and a stator winding wound on a stator core.
The rotary electric machine includes an injection hole 9c for the rotor core being mounted on a rotor shaft 9 for the rotary electric machine and injecting a coolant supplied into the rotor shaft 9 from the end of the anti-load side of the rotor shaft 9 to the inner surface of the rotor core 5 by a rotary centrifugal force. The rotary electric machine further includes guide ways 12a and 12b being mounted on the rotor shaft 9 and the outer surfaces of end plates 7 and 8, guiding the coolant supplied into the rotor shaft 9 to the outer peripheral sides of the end plate 7 and 8 by the rotary centrifugal force and scattering the coolant towards the end 15a of the stator winding 15.
