Abstract:
The object of the invention is to provide a novel compound capable of inhibiting wavelength dependance of phase difference values and a novel optical film. The compound is represented by a formula (a), wherein, C10 represents a quaternary carbon atom, A10 and A20 represent divalent cyclic hydrocarbyl or divalent heterocyclic radical. D10 and D20 represent hydrocarbyl or heterocyclic radical, in the group, at least one hydrogen atom is substituted by an electron-withdrawing group. B10 and B20 represent divalent groups. X10 and X20 represent divalent groups as the formula (2). In the formula (2), A3 represents -C(=O)-C6H4-, divalent cyclic hydrocarbyl or divalent heterocyclic radical. B3 represents the means as same as the B10, n represents an integer of 1-4.] E10 and E20 represent a group, such as alkylidene radical, P10 and P12 represent a group, such as polymerization group.
