Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform a backup of a valid file.SOLUTION: When a detection part detects an update of a file, a recording part records the detected file name and a hash value of the file in association with each other in a list (S14, S20), and a storage part stores the updated original file and a mirror file in a data storage part (S16, S18). Then, when the stored file is to be an object of a backup, a backup execution part calculates a hash value of the original file and compares the calculated hash value to the hash value stored in the list. When the hash values are the same, a backup of the original file is performed. When they are not the same, a hash value of the mirror file is calculated, and the hash value is compared to the hash value recorded in the list. When they are matched as a result of the comparison, a backup of the mirror file is performed (S22).
