Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle device and a radio communication device which can improve convenience when performing short-range radio communication with a communication terminal.SOLUTION: A cradle device 19 is installed in a vehicle as a holding place for a mobile phone 2 having a key function. The cradle device 19 includes an opening forming a housing part 21 to hold the mobile phone 2. The cradle device 19 includes an in-vehicle communication antenna 13 for short-range communication with the mobile phone 2. The in-vehicle communication antenna 13 is formed in U-shape sandwiching both sides of the housing part 21 by folding an annular loop antenna at its center. Therefore, short-range radio communication between the mobile phone 2 and the in-vehicle antenna 13 is possible regardless of whether the mobile phone 2 is inserted into the cradle device 19 in front side up or back side up.
