Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail map generation apparatus and a method for generating a mail map indicating how a business request is transmitted as well as indicating progress for the business request.SOLUTION: A mail map generation apparatus 10 sets a request path for a request mail when the request mail for a business request is transmitted from a requester and gives identification information to the request mail as well as giving the same identification information to a quotation mail using the request mail and generates a mail map indicating the set request path. Then, the mail map generation apparatus 10 specifies a person in charge for composing the request path on the basis of the request mail or the quotation mail, the specified person in charge is associated to a region on the mail map as well as to a region indicating the state of progress for the business request and the state of the region is updated on the condition that the person in charge carries out a prescribed operation (such as forwarding, opening or replying) to the request mail or the quotation mail.
