Title:
電源変調器及びその制御方法
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5725026
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
A power supply modulator (100) according to the present invention includes a pulse current modulator (1), a linear amplifier (2), and a power amplifier (3). The pulse current modulator (1) includes a direct current source (11), a diode (Ds), and a switching element (SW). The power amplifier (3) amplifies a radio signal (WS). Negative feedback is applied to the linear amplifier (2) and the the linear amplifier (2) receives an envelope signal (ES). The pulse current modulator (1) is connected to a power supply terminal of a power amplifier (3) and an output terminal of the linear amplifier (2) via an inductor (L), and outputs a pulse current according to a control signal generated from the envelope signal (ES). The diode (Ds) has an anode connected to an output terminal of the direct current source (11) and a cathode connected to an output terminal of the pulse current modulator (1). The switching element (SW) is disposed between the output terminal of the direct current source (11) and a ground potential, and is controlled by the control signal.
