Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light control device capable of performing a protection control when the connection number of a load is larger than a defined connection number.SOLUTION: A light control device 11 comprises a switch section 19, a current detection section and a control section 24. The switch section 19 is connected to an alternating-current power source in series with a load having a bleeder circuit, so as to phase-control an alternating-current voltage to be supplied to the load. The current detection section detects a current flowing through the bleeder circuit of the load. The control section 24 phase-controls the switch section 19 according to a light control level, determines the connection number of the load on the basis of a current value detected by the current detection section, and performs an abnormal processing control when the connection number of the load is larger than a defined connection number. The abnormal processing control is at least one of a control for controlling light of the switch section 19 not to be at more than a predetermined light control level, a control for turning off the switch section 19, and an alarm control.
