Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which suppresses occurrence of microburst.SOLUTION: A packet shaping apparatus is disposed between a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit comprises: a buffer for temporarily storing a descriptor containing packet information and information indicating permission or prohibition of packet transmission processing; and an adjustment circuit which in accordance with the communication rate of a communication medium for transmitting the packet therethrough, adjusts setting timing of information indicating the permission of the transmission processing on the descriptor stored in the buffer. The first circuit generates the descriptor. The second circuit performs transmission processing based on the descriptor having the information indicating the permission of the transmission processing set thereto.
