Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for starting a membrane separation active sludge treatment device, which suppresses the generation of the causative substance of membrane fouling to secure a predetermined treatment flow rate in a short time by gradually performing reduction from the value of a BOD/SS load of seed sludge to the value of a BOD/SS load being optimum for membrane separation active sludge.SOLUTION: The method for starting the membrane separation active sludge treatment device using surplus sludge or active sludge from another water treatment device as the seed sludge includes: using the surplus sludge or active sludge from the other water treatment device, whose operation is controlled by a BOD/SS load higher than a predetermined BOD/SS load, as the seed sludge; and supplying a BOD source, which is more highly concentrated than treated raw water, together with the treated raw water.
