Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable connectors of the same cable to be recognized.SOLUTION: A LAN cable 9 includes connectors 11 and 12 at both ends of a cable 10. The cable 10 includes a plurality of communication lines 17. One connector 11 includes an operation unit 13, and the other connector 12 includes an indicator unit 16. The operation unit 13 transmits an operation signal to a communication line 17 which is not used for communication for transferring information among communication devices having communication functions conforming to a predetermined communication standard, in response to an external operation. The indicator unit 16 provides illumination indication with an LED in response to the operation signal received from the communication line 17 which is not used for communication.
