PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger and charging method, capable of shortening charging time.SOLUTION: The charger comprises: priority setting means that sets charging priority for each of a plurality of charging targets; charging power setting means that sets charging power of a battery with high priority to be charged to higher power than a battery with low priority to be charged; and charger control means that concurrently supplies charging power set by the charging power setting means from a power supply to the plurality of batteries.
