Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in a normal mode, capable of photographing a desired image without requiring a photographer to hold the imaging apparatus with the photographer's hands and operate a variety of operational members.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit 12 having an imaging device and an imaging lens; control means 11 for controlling the overall apparatus; a gesture analysis unit 11a for performing gesture analysis on the basis of image data obtained from the imaging unit; a range determination unit 11b for determining a portion of an imaging range among the entire imaging range of the imaging unit on the basis of the data analysis result of the gesture analysis unit; and a recording unit 14 for recording the image data corresponding to the imaging range determined by the range determination unit. The control means records a subject in the imaging range instructed by the shape and position information of a finger of an apparatus user that are detected in front of the apparatus, distance information between the position of the imaging unit and a view line position of the apparatus user, and the shape and the position information of the finger of the apparatus user.
