Provided is a polymer-type surface-treating agent which enables the adsorptive treatment of the surface of a silicon-containing polymer in a simple and stable manner utilizing both a hydrophobic interaction and an electrostatic interaction, which are intermolecular forces that can act in an aqueous medium, between the surface and the surface-treating agent effectively.
