PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information editing system capable of easily changing settings for such as handwriting input according to a user's preference.SOLUTION: A data transmitter 30 adds terminal setting information to document information and then transmits the document information to an information editing terminal 20. Receiving the document information, the information editing terminal 20 executes a function to accept, while displaying the document information on a first hierarchy, an editing operation on a display content of a second hierarchy superimposed thereon. At this time, according to the setting information added to the document information, a setting for editing in the second hierarchy is automatically carried out. For instance, a setting of tools (such as a pen and an eraser) used at editing in the second hierarchy, a toolbar, or a default value of each tool is automatically carried out according to the setting information.
