Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle type vehicle having an internal combustion engine which can be smoothly and easily started by disposing a fuel filter apart from a fuel tank and a fuel injection device as far as possible so as to secure piping length.SOLUTION: A saddle type vehicle includes a main frame 10 extending rearward from a head pipe, a pair of right and left rear down-frames 12 extending downward from the rear of the main frame 10, an internal combustion engine 18 disposed under the main frame 10 and forward of the rear down-frames 12, a fuel tank 21 mounted on the main frame 10, and a fuel injection device 34 disposed under the fuel tank 21 and under the main frame 10. The right and left down-frames 12 are joined to each other through a cross-frame 31. Engine hangers 32 for supporting the rear surface upper side of the crankcase 19 of the internal combustion engine 18 and a bracket 41 for supporting the fuel filter 40 are provided in the cross-frame 31. The fuel filter 40 is supported on the bracket 41.
