Abstract:
A photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitized solar cell, the photosensitive layer of which has semiconductor microparticles carrying a ruthenium complex dye indicated by formula (1); a ruthenium complex dye indicated by formula (1); and a dye solution including this dye. In the formula, M indicates a hydrogen ion or a positive ion. X1 indicates a nitrogen atom or CR2. X2 indicates a nitrogen atom or CR3. R1-R3 indicate a hydrogen atom or a specified group. G1 indicates a group indicated by formula (G1). R4 indicates a specified group. R5 indicates a hydrogen atom or a specified group. m indicates an integer of 1-3 and n indicates an integer of 0-2. Y1 indicates an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom and NRf indicates a selenium atom, CRf 2 or SiRf 2. Rf indicates a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group. * indicates a binding site to a pyridine ring in formula (1)
