Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, capable of improving cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: An electrode 1 for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a collector 21 and an active material layer 10 formed on a surface of the collector 21 and containing an active material 11, a binder 14, and a graphite material 12. As the active material 11, one obtained by bonding an organic substance 11a having one or more functional groups selected from the group consisting of a phenylamino group, an imidazole group, and an amino group to the surface of SiOparticles is contained. The binder 14 comprises a water-soluble polymer having a sugar chain structure containing a carboxyl group.
