Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an air bag device which is capable of suitably restraining a vehicle occupant even in an oblique collision to suppress the injury value of the vehicle occupant. [Solution] An air bag device 100 restrains a vehicle occupant 132. The air bag device 100 is provided with: a main bag 112 inflated and expanded in front, with respect to the vehicle, of a front passenger seat 104; a center bag 114 inflated and expanded inside the main bag 112 in the width direction of the vehicle; and a center joint section 120 provided at the valley 122 between the main bag 112 and the center bag 114 and joining the main bag 112 and the center bag 114 in a predetermined vertical range. The air bag device 100 is characterized in that the head E1 of the vehicle occupant 132 is restrained by the valley 122.
