Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a multilayer film having a liquid crystal resin layer on a surface of a substrate film, the surface where a masking film is once applied and then removed, by which the obtained liquid crystal resin layer has a good alignment state and fewer alignment defects.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a multilayer film includes: a step (I) of removing a masking film from an original film including a stretched substrate film and the masking film; a step (II) of reducing alignment regulation force of the substrate film on the surface where the masking film is removed; a step (III) of recovering the alignment regulation force of the surface of the substrate film after step (I) and step (II); a step (IV) of forming a liquid crystal composition layer on the surface of the substrate film after step (III); and a step (V) of curing the liquid crystal composition layer to obtain a liquid crystal resin layer after step (IV).
