Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an error which occurs at engine control based on a target air-fuel ratio index value resulting from a change of an actual air-fuel ratio index value when changing a target combustion timing index value in a situation that a fuel injection amount is controlled so that an actual ignition delay index value approximates a target ignition delay index value while setting the target ignition delay index value constant.SOLUTION: A fuel injection amount is controlled so that an actual ignition delay index value approximates a target ignition delay index value. Ignition timing is controlled so that an actual combustion timing index value approximates a target combustion timing index value. Engine torque control based on a target air-fuel ratio is performed. When changing the target combustion timing index value in a situation that the control of the fuel injection amount is performed while setting the target ignition delay index value constant, the target air-fuel ratio is lean-corrected when the ignition timing is changed to a direction in which the ignition timing approximates a compression top dead point (at the establishment of the determination of a step 110), and when the ignition timing is changed to a direction in which the ignition timing separates from the compression top dead point (at the non-establishment of the detection of the step 110), the target air-fuel ratio is rich-corrected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
