Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of discriminating a cause of a jam due to a failure in detecting a recording material.SOLUTION: A conveyance path where recording material P is conveyed is provided with a line sensor 25a and with a conveyance sensor 29a at a downstream side in a conveyance direction when being viewed from the line sensor 25a. The line sensor 25a detects an opaque recording material P conveyed along the conveyance path. The conveyance sensor 29a detects transparent recording material P conveyed along the conveyance path. A CPU 301 determines a paper type of the conveyed recording material and whether or not abnormality occurs in conveyance of the recording material according to a detection result of the line sensor 25 and a detection result of the conveyance sensor 29.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
