PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus etc. capable of adjusting maximum transfer amount suitable for a communication network of a receiver at a communication apparatus.SOLUTION: A radio terminal has a first determination section that determines whether or not the number of re-transmissions of a packet accompanying a discard of a packet during a TCP (transmission control protocol) transfer is within a re-transmission threshold level or more. The radio terminal further has a first adjustment section that, when the number of re-transmission is the re-transmission threshold level or more, adjusts the size of present MTU setting in a direction to reduce by multiplying an adjustment amount of reduction ratio to the present MTU setting; and a first control unit that sets the adjusted MTU.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
