Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure of a switch (for example, a MOS transistor) which is connected between an external power supply and a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A wireless speaker 1 is provided with: MOS transistors Q1, Q2 which are connected between an AC adapter and a battery 8; a charge control IC 9 which controls on or off of the MOS transistors Q1, Q2; and a microcomputer 2 which has an A/D port in which voltage from the AC adapter is input, and determines that the MOS transistor Q1 is failed in the case that the voltage to be input in the A/D port is less than 14.7 V when the charge control IC 9 turns the MOS transistors Q1, Q2 on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
