Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distinguish a gesture operation and a button operation, without burdening a user, in an image forming apparatus detecting the button operation with press trigger.SOLUTION: An MFP(Multi-Functional Peripheral) 100 receives the input of an operation with respect to a screen displayed on the touch panel of an operation panel 300 on the touch panel and the display 404 of a terminal 400. A method for detecting the content of operation input includes "touch operation" for determining whether or not a software button is displayed in a position touched by the user and "gesture operation" for determining whether or not the user is coincident with the pattern of a gesture in which the state of a touch is previously registered. The MFP 100 uses the input with respect to the touch panel of the operation panel 300 for only one of these two kinds of methods and uses the input with respect to the display 404 of the terminal 400 for only the other of these two kinds of methods.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
