Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a case (2) that rotates upon receiving a rotational force transmitted from a crank shaft of an engine; a rotor (1) that rotates integrally with a cam shaft (50) of the engine, that has a vane (11) which partitions the inside of the case (2), and that rotates relative to the case (2) around a rotation center Y which is the same as a rotation center X of the case (2); a lock pin movement hole (12) that is a cylindrical hole provided to the vane (11) so as to have a central axis that is parallel to the rotation center Y of the rotor (1), and that accommodates a lock pin (5), which restricts the rotation of the rotor (1) relative to the case (2), so that the lock pin can move between a restriction position and a restriction release position; a discharge hole (14) that is a cylindrical hole provided to the vane (11) on the outside in the radial direction of the rotor (1) relative to the lock pin movement hole (12) so as to have a central axis that is parallel to the rotation center Y of the rotor (1), and that communicates with the lock pin movement hole (12) and an inner peripheral surface on one end (14a) side; and a discharge oil passage (15) that is a groove provided to the surface of the vane (11) along the circumferential direction of the rotor (1), and that communicates at one end with the other end (14b) of the discharge hole (14).
