Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a dishonest act in which one performs a game by making a game machine misunderstand that normal game media are used on the game machine.SOLUTION: A medal selector 201 comprises: a medal rail 210 for forming a passage where medals pass; a CMOS image sensor 232 for imaging medals which pass the passage; and a control LSI 234 for performing various kinds of determination processing based on imaged image data of medals. The control LSI 234 performs count processing, color determination processing and engraving determination processing using the image data, and then outputs determination results to a main control board 71. The control LSI 234 has image conversion means which converts the image data into an edge gradient image and creates a histogram related to the edge gradient image. An image recognition DSP circuit 242 for determining whether or not, an object which has passed the passage is a normal game medium, based on whether or not, the histogram and template data related to normal game media which is stored in advance, match or are similar at a prescribed degree, is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 34
