PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, an image processing method, and a computer program that can effectively reduce jaggy.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus creates image data of an image composed of a plurality of pixels on the basis of area attribute information indicating an attribute for each of areas determined in the image, and executes image processing for each of the areas based on the area attribute information on the created image data. The image processing apparatus comprises: a filter processing part that executes filter processing of increasing line widths of pixels in a non-attribute area on the basis of the area attribute information when the image processing is executed, and an amplifying part that amplifies pixel values of the pixels in the non-attribute area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
