PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous bactericidal composition which can keep sufficient bactericidal efficacy while reducing smell by reduction in an amount of thymol and carvacrol as bactericidal components to be blended with water.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous bactericidal composition obtained by dissolving one or more selected from thymol and carvacrol and one or more selected from a fumaric acid and a phytic acid in water, where an amount of the thymol and the carvacrol to be blended is 0.01 mass% or more and 0.04 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
