Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which can inhibit a processing spindle device from colliding and contacting with a workpiece to improve flexibility of processing of the workpiece.SOLUTION: A machine tool includes: a spindle head 5 which processes a workpiece; a Z axis moving device 31 which supports the spindle head 5 so as to move up or down the spindle head 5; and a table 2 which faces the spindle head 5 in a lifting direction of the spindle head 5 and fixes the workpiece. The spindle head 5 has: a spindle support part 50 which faces the Z axis moving device 31 and supports a spindle; and a connection part 51 having a lower end surface 51b facing the table 2 and connecting the spindle support part 50 with the Z axis moving device 31. The lower end surface 51b inclines downward from the Z axis moving device 31 to the spindle support part 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
