Abstract:
The invention provides an external sensor capable of simultaneously realizing the protection of the detection surface and the guarantee of the external detection accuracy. A rear external sensor (17)of the present invention has a sensor body (33) and a rear external sensor trim (37). In a state where the sensor body (33) and the rear external sensor trim (37) are installed at the rear of a vehicle body, a detection surface (31) of the sensor body (33) passes through a rear small window (38) of the rear external sensor trim (37) and then is exposed to the outside of a vehicle (11). The rear external sensor trim (37) has an eaves-shaped protrusion (53) positioned in such a way that the eaves-shaped protrusion eaves-likely protrudes toward the outside of the vehicle (11) relative to the top(31a) in the detection surface (31).
