PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of stabilizing the output.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 11 includes a membrane electrode assembly 20, and a pair of bipolar plates 30, 35 sandwiching the membrane electrode assembly. In the lamination direction of the membrane electrode assembly and bipolar plates, the membrane electrode assembly and bipolar plates overlap each other in a duplicate region Z. The fuel cell further includes a heating element 40 provided in at least one of the pair of bipolar plates, and the heating element is placed to overlap at least the lower region Z, out of the regions dividing the duplicate region into two in the vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
