Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device and a liquid discharge method capable of effectively preventing discharge failure caused by entrainment of air generated at the time of a filling operation in liquid discharge.SOLUTION: In liquid discharge by a liquid discharge device which has a storage chamber 21 that stores a liquid 4, a nozzle 13 which has a discharge port 25 that discharges the liquid 4 in the storage chamber 21 on its tip, and a piston 23 which has a contact portion 23a being one end arranged in the storage chamber 21 and works as a pressure body, the piston 23 is retreated in a direction that the contact portion 23a is away from the discharge port 25, the liquid 4 is supplied from the liquid introduction hole 24 passing through the storage chamber 21 while the piston 23 is retreated, the piston 23 is made to progress to a direction that the contact portion 23a approaches the discharge port 25 and the liquid 4 is discharged from the discharge port 25, and a state is kept in which the liquid 4 is squeezed-out from the discharge port 25 while the piston 23 is retreated in these processes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
