PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which it is possible to shorten a response time when displaying an image.SOLUTION: The display device of the present disclosure comprises: a display unit having a plurality of pixels; a touch panel having a drive unit; a touch panel for generating a detection signal; a first processing unit for executing a first process to select one or a plurality of pixels that include a first pixel on the basis of the detection signal; a second processing unit for executing a second process to generate pixel values of a plurality of pixels each on the basis of the detection signal; and a generation unit which, on the basis of the processing result of the first process, starts supplying a prescribed first signal pattern as a first drive signal corresponding to the first pixel to the display panel sequentially from the beginning, and which, when the pixel value of the first pixel has changed in the processing result of the second process, generates a second signal portion on the basis of the pixel value of the first pixel and a first signal portion of the first signal pattern supplied to the display panel, and supplies the second signal portion to the display panel following the first signal portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
