Abstract:
The present invention generates, with good precision from a simulation map, an automatic driving map data necessary for automatic driving control. Provided is an automatic driving simulator for verifying the functions of an automatic driving ECU, the automatic driving simulator being configured from: a real time simulator that is provided with a model for simulating each function of portions besides the automatic driving ECU of a self-driving vehicle equipped with the automatic driving control ECU, and that provides signals from the model to the automatic driving ECU; and a computer that controls the model in the real time simulator. The computer provides signals from the model in the real time simulator to the automatic driving ECU, causes a self-driving vehicle to travel on virtual roads, acquires, from the model in the real time simulator, log data of when the self-driving vehicle was caused to automatically drive on virtual roads, and produces map data for automatic driving from the log data.
